Hit your daily protein on a hostel or PG budget
Macrava plans a day of food around your protein target and your daily budget. It uses real Blinkit and Zepto prices, counts the meals you eat in your mess, and only suggests food you can make with the gear you have: a kettle, a microwave, a fridge, or no cooking at all.
Tell it your diet (veg, veg with eggs, or everything), where you live, how many mess meals you eat, and your budget. You get a plan for the day, with swaps, in a few taps. Free for now.
Frequently asked questions
What is Macrava?
Macrava is a free web app that plans a day of food to hit your protein target within a fixed daily budget. It is made for students in Indian hostels and PGs.
Where do the prices come from?
Grocery prices come from Blinkit and Zepto, collected in Gurugram. Prices change and can differ in your city, so you can edit any price in the app. Restaurant items use each chain’s published nutrition data and website prices.
How does it count mess food?
Each mess meal is counted as roughly 15 g of protein and 650 kcal. That is an estimate, not a measurement, and your mess may differ. You can log what was on your plate for a better number.
Can I use it without a kitchen?
Yes. You choose what you have: kettle, microwave, fridge, or no cooking. The plan only includes food that works with that setup.
Does it care about protein quality?
Yes. By default about 65% of your protein comes from high-quality sources such as dairy, eggs, soya, meat, fish and whey. If your budget cannot reach your target that way, the app lowers that share step by step so you still get a plan.
Is Macrava free?
The daily plan is free for now. A paid Pro plan with weekly plans and shopping lists is planned, and the price is not decided yet.
Is this medical advice?
No. Macrava is a food-planning tool and is not medical or dietary advice. If you have a health condition, talk to a doctor or dietitian.
